Control and processing

The control system is what turns a video source into the image on the wall. It scales and processes the signal, sends it to receiving electronics inside each panel, and calibrates color and brightness so the whole surface looks like one display. Because it sets color, uniformity, latency and frame rate, the control system decides image quality just as much as the panel does.

The signal chain

A dvLED wall follows a clear path. A source produces the picture, a processor scales and prepares it for the exact pixel layout of the wall, receiving cards inside the panels turn that data into the signals that light each pixel, and calibration data keeps every panel matched. If any link is weak, the image suffers.

Why calibration matters

Every LED and every panel varies slightly. Calibration measures those differences and corrects them so brightness and color are even across the whole wall and stay stable over time. Real calibration needs the panel and the control system to work as one, which is only fully possible when the same team engineers the logic in both.

Why owning both halves matters

What is an LED processor?

An LED processor, sometimes called a video processor or controller, scales and prepares a video source for the exact pixel layout of an LED wall, and sends it on to the receiving cards inside the panels. It manages resolution, frame rate, color and latency.

What is a receiving card?

A receiving card is the electronics inside each panel that takes the processed data from the control system and drives the individual LEDs. It applies the panel calibration so the surface stays even and accurate.

Why does the control system affect image quality?

Because it sets color, uniformity, frame rate and latency, and it applies calibration. A strong panel driven by a weak control system will still look wrong, which is why the control system matters as much as the panel.
