Seamlessness
dvLED panels join with no frame, so the image is one continuous surface. LCD panels have a border around each screen, so a tiled LCD wall always shows a faint grid, which is distracting on moving images and unacceptable for design or broadcast work.
Brightness, contrast and black level
dvLED is far brighter, so it stays vivid in daylight and large open spaces, and it reaches deep, true blacks, especially with chip on board surfaces. LCD relies on a backlight, so its blacks are greyer and its brightness is limited.
Viewing angle and lifespan
dvLED holds color and brightness across very wide angles and typically runs for many years of continuous use. LCD shifts in color off axis and its backlight dims over time.

dvLED can be built to almost any size, aspect ratio or curved shape. LCD video walls are limited to rectangular grids of fixed panel sizes.
